William Howard Goode

Bill was born March 3, 1932 in Tralee, West Virginia 87 years ago to James and Nellie Goode and passed on January 24th, 2020 in Fresno California.

Bill grew up in the mountains of West Virginia until the age of 17 when he proudly enlisted to serve his country in the US Army during the Korean War as a half trac gunner. He then joined the US Air Force and was a Airman Third Class Aircraft mechanic. While stationed in California he met and married the love of his life Joann Boyt. They settled in Bakersfield, Ca and raised three children. In 1969 Bill and his family moved to Fresno, Ca were he worked as a truck driver for 38 years.

Bill received the Holy Ghost in 1980 and became a member of the Truth Tabernacle family were he was a faithful member, Sunday school bus driver, and usher for nearly 40 years. Bill is proceeded in death by his wife of 53 years JoAnn, his son Billy, 11 brothers, 4 sisters, mother, and father.

He is survived by his daughter Kimberly, son Stephen, daughter in law Margaret, granddaughter Sarah, great grandchildren Kourtnie, Kevin, Andrea, Bobby, Joel, Joshua and Jarah, great-great granddaughters Londyn, Reilyn and Ariah, and his extended family members Jerry Chavez, Sandi Chavez and children.

He will be greatly missed.

Services held at Truth Tabernacle 4411 N. First St. Fresno, Ca 93726 February 6th 2020 at 10 am.

Interment at Belmont Memorial Park 201 N Teilman Ave Fresno, Ca 93706
