William Daniel Paniccia

After serving in World War II, on the Aleutian Island, he was stationed at the Fresno Fairgrounds. At a dance at the Rainbow Ballroom he met the love of his life Betty Doty. Soon to be Betty Paniccia. They were married on February 1, 1945, in Fresno. They were blessed to be together for 70 years.

Bill was a retired salesman for the grocery food industry. After retirement, Bill and Betty loved to travel the United States and Canada in their RV.

Bill had the joy and pride of being the patriarch of one of Fresno's finest golf families. Michael Paniccia, Bob Paniccia, Danny Paniccia, Jenine Paniccia-Klein, Joella Paniccia and Joanna Paniccia-Hinman.

Along with his wonderful wit and ability to "never meet a stranger" he was a loving husband and father.

Bill is survived and will greatly missed by his loving wife Betty, his sons Michael Paniccia, daughter in law Diane, daughter Marie Drake, son in law Mitch, son Bob Panicca, daughter in law Jennifer, seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

Bills' viewing will be held at Lisle Funeral Home on Thursday, January 21, 2016 from 10:00 am until 7:00 pm.

Graveside service will be held at Fresno Memorial Gardens 175 S. Cornelia Ave., in Fresno on Friday, January 22, 2016 at 11:00 am.
