

William Gary Turner ("Gary") was born in Brawley, California on August 18, 1934. He served in the U.S. Army and U.S. Navy between 1955-1959. In 1959 he moved to S. Lake Tahoe, CA where he owned and operated a welding business, and also met his bride Carol. In 1971, Gary moved his family to Fresno where he owned and operated Turner Welding & Equipment Service for many years. In the mid 90’s, he was a long haul trucker for various companies including J.B. Hunt and C.R. England. In 2010, Gary entered Pacific Gardens Skilled Nursing Facility where he resided for nearly 5 years, suffering from Alzheimers.
Gary is preceded in death by his parents, Pike Albert & Cecile Turner, sister Charlene, and brothers Sonny & Curtis Turner. He is survived by his wife Carol of Fresno, sons William & Mona Turner of Lees Summit, MO, and Thomas & Lillian Turner of Fresno; daughters Marcie & John Lewis of Fresno, Kathy & Steve Fifield of Fresno, & Julie Keller of Clovis; 10 grandchildren & 2 great grand-daughters; numerous nieces and nephews; sisters-in-law Joan Turner of San Diego and Bonnie & Ed Rude of Redding.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, December 12, 2015, at Valley Bible Church of Clovis at 11:00am
