#LiveLikeAedan
With broken hearts and enduring love, we celebrate the life and spirit of Aedan Nderitu Mwangi, who was called home to be with the Lord on July 7, 2025, at the tender age of 15.
A Life of Light and Purpose
Aedan was the beloved son of John and Alice Mwangi, and a devoted big brother to Brayden and Chloe. Though his time with us was short, his impact was lasting—marked by compassion, humility, and a quiet but powerful faith.
Education & Aspirations
Aedan was a dedicated student who began his education at Universal Academy in Coppell, Texas, continued at Reynolds Middle School in Prosper, and was most recently attending Prosper High School.
A natural creative with a sharp eye for design, Aedan was pursuing a future in architecture—a field that beautifully reflected his love for vision, structure, and thoughtful Legos creation.
Athletic Heart, Humble Spirit
A gifted multi-sport athlete, Aedan excelled on the track, basketball court, soccer field, and football field. He led by example—quietly resilient, selfless, and always encouraging to those around him.
A Joyful Soul
Beyond athletics, Aedan was a creative and joyful spirit. He loved shopping the latest fashion designs, shoes, playing video games, music, and quality time with family and friends. He had a fun-loving loyalty to Whataburger, Chipotle bowls, Bahama Bucks and used every possible McDonald’s point to earn free fries. His sense of humor was infectious—he occasionally wore a chicken suit just to make others laugh and proudly made "microwaved cereal" part of his signature charm.
Love That Shined in Small Ways
Aedan’s love was intentional. Whether weaving unicorns into his world for his sister Chloe or comforting others when they were hurting, he gave freely from the heart. He was never too cool to care, never too proud to laugh, and never too distracted to love.
Faith That Anchored
His faith was foundational. He often carried his Bible—sometimes the only item in his backpack on Wednesday youth nights—as a quiet but powerful testament to his relationship with God. His presence was steady, his spirit gentle, and his light undeniable.
Remembering Aedan
Aedan is survived by his loving parents, John and Alice Mwangi; his siblings, Brayden and Chloe; and a large circle of extended family, church members, teammates, teachers, and friends.
Though our hearts are heavy, we are grateful for the time we shared with Aedan. He leaves behind a legacy of faith, laughter, kindness, and light that will never be forgotten.
