Anna Louise “Lou” Lindsey was born on October 22, 1942, in Decatur, Arkansas to Richard Dale Singleton and Edra Irene McClellan Singleton. She went to be with the Lord on September 20, 2024, in Carrollton, Texas about one month shy of her 82nd birthday.
Louise’s Christian faith was unwavering and her dedication to the gospel of Jesus Christ was evident in both her word and deed. She was caring and generous and always put the needs of others above her own.
Throughout her lifetime, Lou held many jobs, such as receptionist (which is where she met her husband Jimmy), hair stylist, private caregiver and most recently, prior to her retirement, she was a crossing guard for Frisco ISD. For several years, prior to his passing, both Lou and her husband Jimmy, worked together as crossing guards where they were greatly loved and deemed “Guardian Angels”… see article below
Louise was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Jimmy Ray Lindsey, her granddaughter, Hollie Louise Dickinson, and her siblings Elzie Singleton and Rena Singleton Kurdziel. She is survived by her brother Larry Singleton; two daughters, Kimberly Dickinson (husband Jimmy), and Kerrick Lindsey; two grandsons Aaron Dickinson (wife Nichole) and Jerod Dickinson (wife Jennifer), as well as three great grandchildren, Kyle, Katlyn & Kennedy Dickinson.
She will be laid to rest next to her husband of 51 years in a short, graveside service for family and friends on Saturday, September 28, 2024, 11am at Wear Cemetery in Prosper, Texas.
The family wishes to express gratitude to the caregivers and staff at VITAS Healthcare Inpatient Hospice Unit in Carrollton, TX. Their kindness and consideration for both the patient and family members made this very sad and trying time a little easier to manage.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in memory of Louise to VITAS Healthcare Inpatient Hospice at “https://vitascommunityconnection.org”. Donations to be made in her memory should be entered as Anna Louise Lindsey and that donation will go directly to the Carrollton, Texas location that cared for her during her final days.
