After graduating from the University of Florida in 1967, Anthony Fedele arrived in Dallas in 1969 kicking off his career in the advertising community as a creative writer for Sam Bloom. Over the years, he has been on the international judging committees for the prestigious CLIO and International Broadcast Awards, as well as receiving over hundreds of creative awards including Venice Film Festival, International Film Festival of New York, ADDY and CLIO recognition for both print and broadcast.
Nationally known for his strategic thinking, new product introductions and high-profile concepts, Anthony was recognized by Who’s Who in Advertising as well as AD AGE’s special edition on the 100 Best TV Commercials. He created the advertising campaign that launched Southwest Airlines to success, as well as many other “product firsts.”
Anthony, a self-taught gourmet chef (with an assist from his late mother “Minnie” Fedele), enjoyed competing as a finalist on Master Chef in 2012, where he snagged an apron
Anthony was known for his sense of style – a true clotheshorse, an eye for beauty, taste for good food and wine and the smell of a great cigar. However, his true love and passion was sitting around the table with good friends and family to share a meal and laughter.
Preceded in death by his father Thomas Michael Fedele, mother Filomena Rose Fedele, and brother Thomas Fedele Jr. Anthony leaves behind his beloved wife Wendy (Fiertag) Fedele, his adoring 4 children; daughter Skae Gudritz / husband Jim Gudritz (Addison, TX), son Anthony Michael Fedele / wife Jeanette Fedele (Denver, CO), son Gaetano Joseph Fedele / wife May Fedele (Celina, TX), daughter Brianna Marie Ruelas / husband Victor Ruelas (Richardson, TX), and 11 grandchildren: grandson Carter Seidel / wife Kaitlyn Seidel, grandson Jack Gudritz, granddaughter Jenna Gudritz, granddaughter Frances Fedele, granddaughter Gemma Fedele, granddaughter Charlize Fedele, granddaughter Aubrie Fedele, grandson Renzo Fedele, granddaughter Gabriela Ruelas, granddaughter Gisella Ruelas and granddaughter Ruby Ruelas.
Anthony Fedele's family will scattered his ashes near his brother-in-law Neil Fiertag's country home in Beaucourt, France; a Private Celebration of Life will be held in May, 2023.
Anthony Joseph Fedele will be dearly missed by all those that knew and loved him.
