Brendan Fabular

Brendan Fabular, age 22, of Frisco, Texas passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 25, 2023 after a long battle with cancer, surrounded by his beloved family and close friends. On that day, the clouds parted, and the auroras ushered him to heaven.

Bren, as many knew Brendan, was born on Thanksgiving Day, November 22, 2000 in Walnut Creek, California to Barbara Bernadette (Behan) and Hilton “Tom” Fabular.

He grew up in Danville, California, where he obtained 12 years of formal education at John Baldwin Elementary School, Charlotte Wood Middle School and San Ramon Valley High School. He was consistently on the honor’s list.

His life brimmed with B-rilliance, R-elentless pursuits, E-bullience, N-imbleness, D-ependability, A-wesomeness and N-otable acts of compassion.

Bren was a go-getter. He learned that with tenacity and hard work, as well as benevolence, dreams do come true. His training in the martial arts of Taekwondo gave him the necessary discipline and focus on goal setting. At the age of 13, he was able to acquire a Black Belt in Taekwondo — a very rare feat. He also won several Taekwondo competitions along the way.

His aspiration to become a neurosurgeon led him to the Lone Star State to attend Baylor University as a recipient of an academic scholarship. Meanwhile, at the age of 19, he managed to obtain his real estate license from the Texas Real Estate Commission while attending Collin College in Frisco, Texas, where he was also consistently on the dean’s list.

At three years of age, his dream of becoming a Formula One racer was beginning to unfold, as he started developing his passion for cars. In his teen years, Bren joined the Ron White Racing team and started competing in one of the most prestigious karting events in the United States, the Senior Rotax Racing at the Simraceway Performance Karting Center in Sonoma, California. He also competed in the Sanzaru Games Karting Championship on the Senior Rotax Kart series.

In his spare time, Bren played the piano and violin. With much gusto, he could easily play songs by merely listening to them. Poetic at heart, he also wrote several poems to express his zest for life and the significance of his family. However, his proudest moments were spending time with his loved ones and close friends. He loved his family dearly and reminded us all to “Always Cherish the Beautiful Moments.”

Bren had a heart of gold, as he genuinely cared for others. He was known for his generosity, kindness, perseverance, and contagious smiles. His soul was the epitome of a fighter with pure resolve to fight the impossible, showing no fear in the face of adversity.

Bren is survived by his parents, Barbara Bernadette (Behan) and Hilton “Tom” Fabular of Frisco, Texas; his grandfather Fred Behan of Frisco, Texas; his uncle Gerald Behan of Fort Worth, Texas; his aunt Leilanie Behan-Yu (husband David Yu) of Danville, California; his uncle Ronald Fabular (wife Irma Lagman-Fabular) of San Diego, California; his cousins Nathaniel Yu, Jaron Fabular, Kenneth Yu and Julianne Yu. Bren is further survived by his uncle Robert McMenomy, aunt Lynn Williams, uncle Carlo Cabrera, aunt Dana Evans, great aunt Carmelita Arcadio and great uncle Roger Dizon (wife Emmarie Dizon). Bren is preceded in death by his loving grandmothers Lurecina Draculan Behan and Victoria Patterson. Bren will be missed by Tyler, his beloved Goldendoodle, who laid by his side until his very last day.

A funeral mass for Brendan will be held on Wednesday, July 5, 2023, at 2:00 PM at St Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 8000 Eldorado Pkwy, Frisco, Texas 75033.
