It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother Carol Lorraine Batal Teel, who left us on January 01, 2025, at the age of 82. She was surrounded by family, in the comfort of her home.
Carol was born on November 13, 1942, in Lawrence, Massachusetts. She was the daughter of Jeannette Boie and was raised in Lawrence. She spent her life dedicating herself to her family, creating a loving home, and always putting others first. Her strength, kindness, and warmth left an unforgettable impact on everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.
She married Calvin Teel, Jr. on February 6, 1965, and together they raised three children: Calvin Teel, III, Lyn, and Michael. She was a devoted mother and grandmother, cherished by her family for her unwavering love and support. Her legacy lives on in her children, grandchildren, and all who were fortunate to be touched by her compassion.
One of her greatest passions was cooking. Whether it was preparing a hearty family meal or experimenting with new recipes, Carol had a gift for bringing people together around the table. Her meals were not only delicious but a reflection of her nurturing spirit and the love she put into everything she did. Many will remember her signature dishes, from breakfast casseroles to her famous Peanut Butter Balls, which were made with the perfect blend of care, skill, and love.
