Dorothy Alice Garrain

Born January 22, 1933, in Rensselaer, Indiana, she is predeceased by her parents, Rollin and Ruth (Poole) Eib of Rensselaer, Indiana.

After graduating from Indiana University in 1955, Dorothy moved to Cleveland, Ohio, and worked as a buyer for Higbees Department Store and later as an administrative assistant at General Electric. After meeting her husband Joseph she became a homemaker, raising their daughter Theresa. Dorothy and her husband and daughter moved several times as part of Joseph's job until settling in West Hartford, CT. There Dorothy pursued her Master's Degree in Fine Arts. Dorothy and Joseph retired to Salem, South Carolina where they lived until moving to Frisco, Texas to be near their daughter and her family. Dorothy enjoyed traveling and attending car shows with her husband.

She is survived by her husband, Joseph Garrain, and daughter Theresa Fernandez and her husband Gil Fernandez, as well as her granddaughter Lauren Fernandez.

A funeral service celebrating her life will be held on Monday, March 7, 2022, at 11:00am at St Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 8000 Eldorado Pkwy, Frisco, TX.
