Grant William Distel

Grant William Distel made his way to heaven peacefully on June 25, 2025, at the age of 47, surrounded by his loving wife and daughters. Born in Wheatridge, Colorado, Grant had the opportunity to live all over the United States—from California to Florida and many places in between—embracing life fully wherever he went.

Grant was an extraordinary father, husband, friend, and mentor. He was known for his unwavering kindness, always ready to lend a hand—whether the task was big or small. Ambitious, compassionate, and yes, wonderfully stubborn, Grant was the kind of person who left a lasting impact on everyone he met.

He built a successful 20-year career in real estate with 7-Eleven, where he earned a reputation for being honest, determined and solution-oriented. “It can’t be done” was never in his vocabulary—he always found a way. That same perseverance shaped not only his professional achievements but his personal life as well.

Outside of work, Grant loved gardening, fishing, hunting, traveling, and spending quality time with his family and friends. These simple joys brought him the greatest happiness.

Grant is survived by his devoted wife of 24 years, Angela Nelson Distel; and their beloved daughters Savannah, Alexandria, and Isabella Distel. He is also survived by his parents, Bill and Dorothy Distel; his sisters, Joy Duprey and Miranda Sherman; and his brother, Daniel Distel.

A Celebration of Life was held on July 22, 2025. His family was deeply touched and overjoyed by the overwhelming number of people who came to honor him and celebrate his extraordinary life. The love and support shared that day was a true reflection of the impact Grant had on so many.

As we say goodbye to this charismatic, hardworking, and loving father, son, brother, uncle, and friend, we will deeply miss his smile that reached his eyes and the light he brought into every room. Though his life was filled with accomplishments, Grant always said his greatest joy—and proudest achievement—was being the father of his three beautiful daughters.
