

Janice Ellen Campbell passed away peacefully on January 12, 2021 at Texas Health Plano Hospital. She was born on February 29, 1940 and raised by parents John “Jack” Blalock and Lillian C. Wright in Midwest City, Oklahoma. Jan was a loving mother, homemaker, and wife of the late Lt. Colonel Donald D. Campbell with whom she raised their three children William “Mike” Campbell, Kristi D. Johnson, and Carrie D. Lawrence. As a devoted military wife, she moved with her husband and kids overseas and multiple states across the U.S. including Oklahoma, Hawaii, Missouri, Mississippi, Texas, Washington D.C., Virginia, Alabama, and back to Texas before finally settling in a home on Echo Lake. She was proactive in the Echo Lake community where she served on the HOA board and made many close friends. She was also recently reunited with her son Kevin Johnson. Jan was a sweet and classy lady with a big heart, and all her friends and family loved her dearly.
Her death was preceded by her parents, husband, and siblings Teci J. Blalock, Donald E. Blalock, and Thomas L. Blalock.
She is survived by her children Mike and wife Carol Lynn Campbell, Kristi Johnson, Carrie and husband Michael Lawrence, Kevin and wife Sherri Johnson; sisters Annie and husband Tom Gonzalez and Mary Etta Blalock; grandchildren Catherine Jewell, Madison Lawrence, and Jake Lawrence; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins all of whom she loved.
Due COVID-19, a formal service gathering will not be held at this time.
