Ms. Janice LaQuita Hatley, aged 85, passed away peacefully on August 3, 2021 in Plano, Texas. Janice was born on February 5, 1936 in the small town of Wink, Texas to John Glen Irvin and Myrtle Venita (Rainwater) Irvin.
Janice lived the bulk of her life in San Antonio, Texas where she raised all four of her children. She moved to Frisco, Texas to be near her children in 2016. Janice took pride in working as a bank teller/bookkeeper for many years before retiring. Janice’s pride and greatest joys were her children, grandchildren, and extended family. However, she had a special place in her heart for her cat Alvie.
She is preceded in death by both her parents John and Venita Irvin; and her son, Charles Wayne Hatley.
Janice is survived by her sons, Robert Glen Hatley of Plano, TX and Kenneth Ray Hatley and wife Valerie of Frisco, TX; daughter, Cathy Lynne Deady and husband Michael of Frisco; grandchildren, C.J. Hatley, Veronica Hatley, Alexis Hatley, Ashley Jansing, Hayden Hatley, Reagan Hatley, Skylar Deady and Dylan Deady; Siblings, sister Dee Franz, brother Ed Irvin and wife Patsy; half-sisters Glenda Hardin and husband Bill and Cyndi Ritchey and husband Sandi; sister-in-law Linda George; and many beloved nieces and nephews.
The family will be receiving guests on Saturday, August 7th from 11am to 2pm. At the home of Ken and Valerie Hatley located at 1174 San Andres Drive, Frisco, TX 75033.
