

Janice Marie Phillips passed away with her beloved husband at her side on Tuesday, March 17, 2026, at her Argyle home at the age of 90. Jan was born in North Little Rock, Arkansas and spent her childhood years in Eldorado, Arkansas.
Jan is survived by her husband, Wesley G. Phillips, Sr.; her son, Bobby Ray Bankston; step-daughter, Sherry O'Connor; granddaughter, Natalie Smith and husband, Steve; her grandson, Wesley Bankston and wife, Helen. Jan is also survived by her mother-in-law, Norma Rose Phillips and sister, Addie Lee White. Also survived by 5 great-grandchildren.
Jan is preceded in death by her father, Lee Emanuel Boone; her mother, Vera Katy (Toland) Boone; her brother, John Emanuel Boone; and her step-son, Wesley G. Phillips Jr.
Jan worked as Executive Assistant to the President of the Belmont Group in Dallas for 35 years, retiring in 2014. Jan was also very involved in daily operations of the Phillips Funeral Home which was owned and operated by Wesley and Jan. Jan also loved her beloved Bichon Frise dogs, Bailey, Bridgit and Bentley.
Jan was an active member of Prestonwood Baptist Church in Dallas and Plano serving in various capacities including the baptism team, security at Sandra Saunders Children's Ministry Building, she worked The Gift of Christmas shows each year, and also served as a door greeter and section host.
Family and friends are invited to honor Jan's life at Prestonwood Baptist Church, 6801 West Park Boulevard, Plano, Texas 75093 on Wednesday, March 25, 2026 at 10am. Visitation in Faith Chapel beginning at 9am. Jan will entombed at Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park in Colleyville at 1pm.
