

Jason Matthew Young, 43, of Frisco Texas went to be with our Lord on September 25th, 2021. He was born in Salisbury, Maryland. on September 9, 1978. Jason graduated from Parkside High School in Salisbury, Maryland. He received his associate degree Magna Cum Laude while on active duty with the United States Marine Corps where he served for 5 years. After his honorable discharge in 2004, he went on to protect and serve as a private contractor utilizing his ordnance experience in Iraq. He then pursued a career in the mortgage and insurance industries. He was Past Commander of VFW post 4380 in Frisco, Texas and was a current lifetime member of VFW post 8273.
To know Jason was to love him. His humor, love of singing and his huge personality, his love, dedication and loyalty for his family and friends, his love and pride for his United States Marine Corps and Marine Corps family and our country all made him the exemplary man he is. Jason’s mantra was that he just wanted to be that good person. Jason executed this above and beyond without regard to his own personal needs. There are some who bring a light so great to the world, that when they are gone, their light remains. Jason’s light will continue to shine eternally. We love you beyond measure Jason and will hold you in our hearts until we can hold you in Heaven.
Jason is survived by his wife, Kari Young of McKinney, Texas and daughter Makaylin McCullar of Heartland Texas; Parents Carol and Sonny Fulton of Manassas, Virginia; Greg and Brenda Young of Palmyra, Pennsylvania; Father-in-law Lonnie Childress and wife Jane of Nichols Hills, Oklahoma; Sister and family, Jennifer Caffey, husband John and nieces Emerson and Josslyn of Ponte Vedra, Florida; Brother Jeffrey Young and companion Maria Vargas of Tulsa, Oklahoma; Brother-in-law Lance Childress, wife Ashley and nephew and niece Jackson and Lennon of Edmond,Oklahoma. Sister-in-law Kristy Cooper and husband Zac of Norman, Oklahoma; Grandmother Carlene Collins of Springfield, Virginia; Aunts and Uncles Sheila Collins of Hagerstown, Maryland, David Collins and wife Tina of Pinehurst, North Carolina; Linde Pusateri of Rockville, Maryland, Rhonda Bockting of Springfield, Virginia; Melanie Smith and husband David of Salisbury, Maryland; Sandra White of Atlantic, Virginia; Numerous cousins and extended family.
Jason is preceded in death by his Grandparents Betty and Joseph Brewton of Salisbury, Maryland, Benjamin Collins, Jr. of Springfield, Virginia, Mary and Richard Young of Atlantic, Virginia and Uncle Kevin Collins of Ocean Pines, Maryland.
We would like to acknowledge and express our sincerest gratitude to Jason’s Marine Corps brothers and sisters and closest friends for their unwavering support and assistance during this most difficult time. You are family and we are forever grateful for your love and dedication to our beloved Jason. We would also like to acknowledge Bonnie Carroll and her organization T.A.P.S. for their love, support and guidance with our grief journey. Together, we will continue Jason’s legacy of kindness and paying it forward to be that good person he wanted to be and always was.
The family received many of Jason’s friends and colleagues at a service in Frisco, Texas on October 6, 2021.
Jason’s final wishes to be laid to eternal rest near his Grandaddy Ben were finalized with Honors at Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, Virginia following a beautiful and honorable Celebration of Life at Fort Meyer Old Post Chapel, Fort Meyer, Virginia March 11, 2022 at 11AM. A formal reception followed at Patton Hall, Fort Meyer, Virginia.
