

Jeanine Margaret Roland, 84, of Frisco, Texas, passed away on Saturday, January 11, 2025. She was born on September 3, 1940, in Chicago, Illinois, to the late William & Jeanette (Frank) Bern. Jeanine grew up in Winnetka, Illinois, where she enjoyed ice skating, skiing, and going on road trips throughout her childhood. She was a graduate of New Trier High School in Winnetka. Jeanine went on to attend the University of Northwestern where she completed her bachelor’s degree. She spent many years working as a high school teacher before transitioning over to pharmaceutical sales and medical research. She lived in Huntington Beach, CA for 57 years.
Jeanine was a sweet and good-hearted woman/mom. She was tenacious and strong, and faced each day with grace and determination. Jeanine enjoyed water aerobics, traveling, and reading books. She enjoyed time spent with her friends in Huntington Beach and Frisco Lakes. Jeanine had a strong faith and enjoyed Bible studies and attended Stonebriar Community Church. More than anything, Jeanine was most proud of her family and enjoyed spending time with them. She had a wonderful 56-year marriage to Bryan, who treated her like gold. They were best friends and enjoyed traveling the world together, and their countless vacations to Hotel Del Coronado in California. Jeanine was also an amazing mother to her daughter, Jeana, and adored her granddaughter, Haley. She was always there for them and taught the value of family through her unending devotion and love for them. Jeanine will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew her.
In addition to her parents, Jeanine was preceded in death by her husband, Bryan Roland. She leaves behind to cherish her memory, daughter, Jeana Maiocchi of Frisco, Texas; granddaughter, Haley Maiocchi of Frisco, Texas; and sister, Willa Ozimina of Gainesville, Virginia.
A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held on Saturday, February 15, 2025 from 12:00-3:00pm at Stonebriar Funeral Home, Frisco, Texas. Jeanine will be laid to rest with her husband at the Miramar National Cemetery at a later date.
