Jody was a great person and lawyer.  Jody worked for my law firm in Chicago. She always did excellent legal work and her demeanor was calm, confident and reassuring. 

As a person I admired her great love for her son who she'd talk about in many of our conversations. I thought Jody was a great human being. I was stunned when I heard the news of her passing. 

Michael, your mother loved you very much. Your growth as a young man to a man and your happiness was always on her mind.

Jody is gone much too soon. We worked together for 15 years. She was a smart, savvy, sassy, dedicated, hard-working and fierce advocate for her clients. You did not want to mess with her, or your name might wind up on a lemon in her freezer! She was a kind and caring friend. She was proud of her mom and aunt and spoke of them often. More than anything, she loved Michael. I can't believe she's gone. Jody will be remembered. 

Amazing lawyer, even better person. Was a mentor and a friend. I enjoyed  the years we  had  the pleasure of working with her and all the fun times we had.  Very sad to lose such a great person so early in her life. She will be missed by many. 

Jody has left this world too soon. Sending prayers for strength,  solace and peace, to son Michael, mother Cathleen/Catherine, brother Joseph, aunt Sadie Grady, and the entire McNeela and Velky families during this time of sorrow.  May God have Jody Rest In Peace !!! I met Jody at Cory’s wedding. We had a number of conversations the day of and the day before. She seemed to be a warm, articulate, and caring person. I will miss her. May she rest in peace. 

Jody was well respected by her partners and colleagues at the NZA law firm. I was bless to have her as a friend. Her sense of humor and love of family and friends is something I will always cherish. We trust that your fond memories of your mother, sister, daughter and friend will be a comfort during this time of grieving. Jody will definitely be missed by all who knew her. 

Jody was a fantastic lawyer, a great friend and, most importantly to her, a wonderful, loving mother to her adored son and “best guy” -  Michael.  Jody brought a calming influence to every gathering with her warm smile and wry sense of humor.  She was beautiful inside and out, and was a very well-respected and known in the Chicago legal community and twice was a highly recommended candidate for judge.   Jody will be so missed by many, but never forgotten.  

Sending prayers for strength, peace, and comfort to Michael and the entire family during this time of sorrow. May the memories created keep Jody's light alive eternally! 

Jody and I met many years ago due to her son Michael, I worked a program that he attend. Jody and Michael are two of the best people I have met in my life. She put others first and loved whole heartedly. A beautiful women inside and out who welcomed me not only into her home to help her out but made me feel like family instantly. We celebrated accomplishments and birthdays all together. Even years later and with distance between we all kept in touch and talked frequently. Jody will be missed by many and I am grateful to have met her and have her in my life.

So sad to hear, know she will be missed by Catherine and her family. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all.

I miss you sassy lady.  Fate brought us together six years ago - first as next door neighbors and then as fabulous friends - and I am forever grateful!  My list of memories is long and beautiful - morning walks, Traverse City, New Orleans, your fabulous cooking, dirty martinis, concerts, football Saturdays, Rip,..

I love you more than you can possibly know!

I would speak to Jody every morning on the phone.  Her first words  to me would be “what’s going on” and we would talk about our feelings for the day, Now my phone is silent and my heart is broken   She was such a good friend and loving person even at a distance. She would listen to me, and support me whenever I needed it. It was an honor to have known her and have her in my life. 
I miss her so much.
