Julianna “Julie” Sue Schmitt 13 of Frisco Texas passed from this life on to her eternal home March 24, 2019. She was born to Lucy and Eric Schmitt of Frisco on March 10, 2006. Julie has one older sister, Katrina.
Julie and her older sister grew up in Dallas. She gave her parents and sister so many wonderful memories like the time she “ate” shrimp by playfully placing them in her mouth and spitting them up like a fountain at Disney World. When she was little, she was afraid of the Tickle Me Elmo toy. Every time the toy started laughing, she would start to cry. At age four, she got lost on the elevator at a Hawaiian resort. She slipped out the door on the wrong floor and the door closed before anyone had a chance to go after her. It took about an hour to finally locate her as she kept entering and exiting the elevator searching for her family.
Julie used to look in the mirror every morning before school and say “I’m beautiful – I’m perfect’ and then do a joyful twirl. Julie was goofy, fun-loving, playful, sweet, caring, and always put others before herself. In her own words she was “funny, energetic, and happy”.
Last Christmas, she gave everyone in her family a memory jar with nearly thirty of her most memorable moments. Katrina’s favorite ones included playing oboe and flute duets together and jumping on the trampoline. There are so many parent and sister memories of her life.
Julie loved everyone and everything. She was very likeable and had so many friends throughout the years who all sincerely loved and cared about her. She was beautiful inside and out. She was known as Julie but also went by Lazy Tyler or Jules. Her mantra, which she hung on her bedroom wall, is “You glow differently when you’re actually happy.”
She had a great heart with love for animals. Her first pet was her Boston Terrier puppy. She wanted him named Oreo but Milo suited him best. Julie would address him as “Milo Sue Schmitt” giving him the same middle name as her to show how important her dog was to the family. More recently she adopted a dwarf hamster, Muffin. She indicated she would love to volunteer at the SPCA and work with animals as an adult.
Julie was a talented dancer with grace and precision. She began to dance at age four and advanced to a competitive team which she danced with from age eight to twelve. Her favorite dance was lyrical and ballet. She combined grace and technique beautifully.
One of Julie’s favorite things to do was watch movies. She especially loved Titanic, Coco, Frankenweenie, and her favorite Up. She talked about Up all the time. She loved making slime, and after she became hospitalized for her disease, she loved Fuse Beads. She also enjoyed painting and playing with pets. She loved animals, especially puppies, and wanted to pursue veterinary work as her career. She played the flute during middle school and was currently taking ukulele lessons. She enjoyed pop music artists Billie Eilish and Ariana Grande. Her most favorite place to be was in the Bahamas “swimming with the pigs!”
Julie is survived by her parents Lucy and Eric Schmitt, her sister Katrina, her grandmother Wanning Li, her grandparents Al and Marge Schmitt and as well as her pets Milo and Muffin. Honorary Pallbearers are Lucy Schmitt, Eric Schmitt, Katrina Schmitt, Alexis Valdez, and Jonathan Burningham.
Julianna Schmitt was loved by many during her time with us here on earth, and will continue to be loved through time and all eternity.
