Linton Lachausse was born in Kaplan, LA on December 26, 1922 to Andrew and Adela Sellers Lachausse. He was the second of five children. When he was a young child, his parents relocated to Port Arthur, TX where he spent the majority of his life. He graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School in 1940 and enrolled in Port Arthur College. During this time, he also worked at the Texas Company Oil Refinery. When time permitted, he visited his grandparents in Kaplan and worked on his grandparents farm. At the age of 19 when the US entered
World War II, he enlisted in the United States Marine Corp. After he completed training in San Diego, CA in 1943, he was assigned to and served on various aircraft carriers, primarily on the Ticondaroga. He received an Honorable Discharge in 1946 and returned to Port Arthur. He returned to the Texas Company where he worked until he felt called to the religious life and entered a monastery. He left the monastery and returned home to care for his parents until their deaths. In 2009, he moved to Weston, TX where he lived with his younger brother and sister-in-law until his death.
Linton is survived by his daughter, Kate Lachausse; brothers Dale LaChaussee; Mike LaChausse and his wife, Janis; NIECES: Toni Butschek Williamson and husband Sam, Jill Butschek, Dawn DeKerlegand Daley, Shelly LaChausse Krizmanic and husband Jim, Tami LaChausse Ausenbaugh and husband Bryan
NEPHEWS: Darron LaChausse and wife Velma, Mark Butschek and wife Barbe, Dean Dekerlegand and wife Diane, Dirk Dekerlegand and wife Jennifer

Linton Lane Lawrence LaChausse will be greatly missed by all those that knew and loved him.
A memorial mass to be held on Friday, April 25, 2025 11am at St Gabriel the Archangel Catholic Church located at 110 St Gabriel Way, McKinney, TX 75071, with a reception following the service in the Bishop Kelly Center
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the St Vincent de Paul Society at St Gabriel the Archangel Catholic Church
