

Matthew "Jet" Todd Gilmore, age 59, passed away on Wednesday, March 20, 2024. he was born November 9, 1964, to his loving parents Helen and Les Gilmore in an army hospital in Ford Dix, NJ. Predeceased by his father, he is survived by the love of his life, his wife of 28 years, Misti Bleu (Snyder) Gilmore, his precious daughter Cheyenne and his wonderful mother.
Matt “Jet” Gilmore, a man of boundless creativity and passion, left an indelible mark on all who knew him. Jet's journey began with a deep love for music; he aspired to be recognized for his guitar prowess, but his legacy transcends his musical talents.
A true polymath, Jet pursued every goal with unwavering determination. From mastering the guitar, bass, keyboards, and drums to producing and composing music, his contributions to the music industry were vast. He lent his expertise to countless projects, both his own and those of fellow artists, leaving an enduring impact on the world of music. Jet's innovative spirit shone through in his creation of "Gear ‘n Gigs," a video podcast where he celebrated the artistry of the music industry and showcased his vast knowledge of musical equipment.
Yet, Jet's creativity knew no bounds; his talents extended far beyond the realm of music. He expressed himself through action photography, illustrated children's book covers, and crafted graphic art that reflected his musical vision. He restored automobiles and designed as well as built a motorcycle masterpiece under his company Ferocious Customs
In his final days, Jet embarked on yet another endeavor: chronicling the history of Gibson's Custom Shop. Though he was unable to see the project to fruition, his dedication was unwavering. He leaves behind a legacy of passion and promise, with several publishers eager to share his insights with the world.
Beyond his professional pursuits, Jet found joy in an array of hobbies. Whether building LEGO creations with Cheyenne, cheering on Ferrari in Formula 1 racing, or indulging his passion for billiards and Marvel collectibles, he approached every interest with the same fervor and enthusiasm.
Matt “Jet” Gilmore will be remembered not only for his exceptional talents but also for his kindness, generosity, and zest for life. He leaves behind a legacy of creativity and inspiration that will continue to resonate with all who know him. Though he may no longer be with us, his spirit will live on through the countless lives he touched and the memories he created.
A visitation for Jet will be held Thursday, March 28, 2024 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Stonebriar Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 10375 Preston Road, Frisco, Texas 75033, followed by a celebration of life funeral service at 4:00 PM.
