Oscar was born in Guatemala to Wenceslao Urizar and Juana Elida De Leon, the youngest of four siblings, Merery, Odilia, Cesar, and Dorcas. Growing up in Guatemala, he enjoyed dancing with his sisters. At a very young age, he met Wendy, a baby girl who didn’t have parents to take care of her, he took her in and raised her as a daughter. When he was only 21 years old, he had to leave Guatemala. Through many hardships, he successfully settled in California where he met Ana Aracely Portillo, the woman he fell in love with, had his first boy Oscar Urizar Jr., and married on April 16th, 1994. Ana and Oscar had three children, Oscar Jr., Christian, and Elyda. Oscar loved watching and playing soccer with his boys, his favorite teams were Brazil and Real Madrid.
In 2004 Oscar and Ana took their three kids and moved to Texas to start their new lives together and purchased their very own home in Frisco Texas. Oscar became a truck driver and later purchased his own trucks to start his own business. While driving, Oscar met some people who became a close part of his life, he made lifelong friends and treated them like family. In 2015 his oldest son married Sabrina Tariq, Oscar showered his daughter-in-law with so much love and never treated her like she was not his own daughter. Not long after, Oscar had two grandchildren, Leanna and Isaiah, Oscar cherished his grandkids and loved playing soccer with his grandson like he did with his sons, and loved dancing with his granddaughter like he did with his sisters and daughter.
Oscar was fearless, strong, and a protector of his family, like his favorite animal a lion. He hated being viewed as if he was weak and did not show pain or dependency till his last days. He enjoyed spending time with his family the most, along with soccer and dancing he also loved working on cars and his garage was the place he spent most of his time off in. He was ambitious and hardworking and recently started a second business with his oldest son, Urizar Enterprises, was working on a third business with his younger son, and was looking forward to working with both of them.
Oscar was always the life of every social gathering, he made people laugh and was always positive even if he wasn’t feeling his best, he never let others see his pain. His love was unconditional and did not hesitate to show it. Oscar will be truly missed by everyone who had the honor to spend time with him.
