Richard "Rick" Arion

On December 29, 2025, Richard “Rick” Arion—a devoted husband, friend, brother, and son—went home to heaven. Born on March 4, 1964, in Frankfort, Indiana, Rick built a beautiful life with his wife, Margie, in North Dallas, Texas.

Rick and Margie met on a blind date and shared more than 20 wonderful years together. Their love story was filled with adventure, generosity, and faith. They traveled the world, supported charities close to their hearts, and served their local church. Rick embraced life with an infectious personality and a motto he lived by: “Give life an extra squeeze.” He never met a stranger and had a gift for making people feel seen, heard, and loved.

Rick’s adventurous spirit took him and Margie across continents—from polar bears in the Arctic to crossing the Drake Passage en route to Antarctica, from walking the Great Wall of China to getting engaged at the Eiffel Tower. He cherished every experience, whether swimming with dolphins and sharks, petting rhinos and cheetahs, or watching the wildebeest migration in East Africa. Through these journeys, Rick formed lifelong friendships by honoring cultures and differences, and he always remembered to give back.

Professionally, like his father and brother Tony, Rick worked in the roofing industry until his retirement. He believed life was too short not to spend time with those you love and doing what you love. Later, he discovered a passion for racing with his G2 Motorsports Park and Eagles Canyon friends. Above all, Rick’s greatest joy was investing in relationships—his friends were family, and his loyalty and laughter touched countless lives.

Rick is preceded in death by his father, Richard E. Arion; his sister, Angela; and his mother-in-law, Sandra; and also his beloved "Fur Babies", Joey, Copper, Bogey, and Putter.

Rick is survived by his beloved wife, Margie Arion, and their “fur baby” Sammy; his brother, Tony Arion; sister, Lori Stidham; and mother, Sandy Arion.

Rick’s legacy of laughter, loyalty, and love will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. He will be deeply missed, but his spirit will forever shine bright.
