

Robert Jerome Tramp was born on April 23, 1946 in Crofton, Nebraska to Mr. Jerome Tramp & Charlotte Foxhoven. He was the eldest child of three, who all grew up in Omaha. Robert was big brother to his siblings, Duane & Cheri. Robert graduated from Holy Name High School, Class of ’64. He then attended the University of Nebraska at Omaha and earned his Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice and later, his Master’s degree in Public Administration. This education would prepare him for the career of his lifetime.
Robert served as a Deputy Chief for Douglas County Sheriff’s Department. He has provided over 25 years of service with the department. He also was a reservist in the U.S. Army, and attended the FBI academy for certifications and continuing education courses. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of the Police and also a member of the Knights of Columbus at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Frisco, Texas.
Robert was a loving, protective man who always watched over his family. He will be missed tremendously.
On Sunday, October 25, 2015, Robert Jerome Tramp was called to Heaven, where he was greeted by his parents, Jerome Tramp & Charlotte Foxhoven & his nephew, Scott Kimsey.
His life will continue to be honored and remembered by his family: Michelle Skaar & her husband Kyle of Frisco, TX; grandchildren: Michaela & Kayl Skaar of Frisco, TX; brother, Duane Tramp & his wife Kathy of Sabetha, KS; niece, Dr. Casey Tramp of Olathe, KS; nephews: Dr. Chris Tramp & Dan Tramp of Sabetha, KS; sister, Cheri Menter of Oklahoma City, OK; niece, Trisha Peterson of Edmond, OK.
