

Thomas Charles Pfeil was born in Akron, OH on July 17, 1939 to Charles and Nelrose (Field) Pfeil. They moved to Texas when Tom was a very young child. Tom attended Sunset High School and the University of Texas at Arlington. Tom was a Marine and a rifle marksman.
Tom’s family owned Pfeil and Sons Lumber Company. Tom never saw a tool he did not like. The sons worked with their parents after school and they went bowling after work. Tom and his family were life-long bowlers. Tom had 26 games having a perfect score of 300 each and he had 23 strikes in a row at one tournament. He took up golf much later in life.
Tom also had an audio/video tech service company, later he had a medical doctors’ video studio and lastly, he had a home remodeling company known as Pfeil Construction.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and two sisters-in-laws.
Tom is survived by his wife, Rita, and their blended family consists of son, Douglas, son David (Laura, Rhye, Kobb), son Dwayne (Katherine, Madeleine, Jacob), daughter, Michelle Peden (Jeff, Grace, Lucas, Parker), step-daughter Sara Cunningham (Chris, Cameron, Kendall), step-son Troy Stowell (deceased) (Katherine, Nyssa (deceased)) and many other relatives and friends.
Tom was a born-again Christian and was a 24-year member of and regularly attended Grace Church in Plano, Texas. He served the Lord as the manager of the church's golf tournament for 12 years and also in Children's Church and in Senior Ministry.
Tom thanks all of you for your many prayers, love and friendship during his 84 years of life on earth. He told friends and strangers that he was looking forward to going to see Jesus Christ. In heaven, he now has a well body with no pain. Ask your pastor how you can know for sure that you're going to heaven, also, please, don’t delay.
Pastor Garrett Hawfitch will be officiating a memorial celebration on Saturday, February 17, 2024 at 10 AM at Grace Church (Admin Building) 5000 W. Parker Rd., Plano, Texas 75093.
