

Treka attended Meridian and Centennial High Schools (Idaho) and Tennessee State University She served as a respiratory therapist for 28 years, most recently at Medical Center, Plano, TX.
Treka loved her family, friends, pets, and people in general. She rarely met a stranger she didn’t befriend. She hosted an annual Christmas cookie exchange for many years with her friends and neighbors. She was a Girl Scout leader for 6 years. She enjoyed road trips and international travel visiting Italy, France, Nigeria, South Africa, Caribbean Islands, China, and Switzerland. She visited almost all the states including Alaska and Hawaii. She was game to go anywhere. She found her center and feelings of peace in the great outdoors especially near the mountains and clear blue lakes. She enjoyed attending and viewing Boise State University sports games. She was an exceptional swimmer and master diver.
She was preceded in death by her son, Zachery, and nephew, Blake Fannin. In addition to her parents, she is survived by sister, Twylia Fannin, brother, Ty Mahana, daughters, Olivia (19) and Mia (16), son, Ethan (19), and husband of 22 years, Ernest Anikwe.
A funeral mass for Treka will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday, November 18, 2022 at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 8000 Eldorado Pkwy, Frisco, TX 75033. A celebration of life and visitation will occur 2:00 p.m. Saturday, November 19, 2022 at Stonebriar Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 10375 Preston Road, Frisco, TX 75033.
At her request, Treka’s ashes will be spread at Rainbow Point near the Madison River in Montana.
