William Charles Danches passed from this life on to his eternal home on December 23, 2017 in Frisco, Texas. Bill was born on May 19, 1947 in Cleveland, Ohio to his parents, Fred and Florence Danches. Bill was the oldest of three children sharing his childhood with his sister, Michele, and brother, Brad, growing up in North Miami, Florida.
Bill enjoyed collecting coins. As a child, he would ride his bike to the shopping centers and all the merchants would let him go through their cash drawer to look for collectible coins. Bill also enjoyed fishing and one day decided that wouldn’t it be a nice thing for the three of the siblings to catch fish from the salt water canal behind the house and make a wonderful fish tank for their dad in the fresh water swimming pool. Of course, by the time their dad came home most of the fish were upside down in the pool. It was Bill’s dream to go back to Florida, have a boat, and fish.
Bill was a huge supporter of the Dallas Police Department and was given the highest award for a civilian. He had blue bears made up for the police and would hand them out to an officer when he or the kids would see a policeman.
Bill also, started the Prom Dress give away to underprivileged high school girls so they could join their friends also at the prom. This program has been copied all over the country. This was Bill's idea and was from his heart. Bill believed that every girl needs to look beautiful at their prom and he made sure they did.
Bill has two of the most beautiful children, Izzy and Freddy. The two of them were the love of his life. Bill’s eye would light up when he would talk about Izzy and Freddy and how proud he was of them. He would laugh when Izzy would call him Daddle, knowing that he was going to get her something. When he would talk about Freddy it was his giant of a boy who was so soft spoken but yet what an animal on the football field. Not matter what his life was his children.
He loved practical jokes. When his nephews, Bryan and Chase, were asked what one of their favorite stories was, they both told the same story when while having a food fight, Uncle Billy took an egg and smashed it in Chase's underpants. Afterwards, they jumped into to the pool to clean themselves off.
Bill was a wonderful son, grandson, brother, father, and uncle. He was a good friend to so many.
Bill is survived by his ex-wife Joy Danches; children, Izzy and Freddy Danches; sister, Michele Danches of Las Cruces, New Mexico; brother, Bradley Danches and wife Marcie of Las Cruces, New Mexico; cousin, Jody Bartel of Scottsdale, Arizona; uncle, Al Burke of Scottsdale Arizona; nephews, Chase and Bryan Danches; great nephews, Alex and Max, and his beloved dog, Bruiser.
