Alta Lee Thompson Miller

A funeral service will be conducted on Friday, February 7, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Turner-Robertshaw Funeral Home with Bill Jenkins officiating. Burial will be private.

Mrs. Miller was born in Bentonville on November 30, 1928, a daughter of the late James Ernest and Charlotte Tyler Morrison Thompson. She was a homemaker, loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister. She was a member of the Jehovah’s Witnesses Church.

Mrs. Miller is survived by her sons, Stanley J. Miller, Jr., Ernest D. Miller, and Asher E. Miller all of Front Royal; her daughter, Vivian Lake and husband, Robert of Front Royal; her brothers, Bobby Thompson of Front Royal, Richard “Dickie” Thompson of Bentonville, Jack Thompson of Winchester, John Thompson of Rileyville and Phillip Thompson of Rileyville; her sisters, Ann King of Rileyville and Jean Arrington of MD; her grandchildren, Rebecca Dooley (Adam), Brett Miller and Jeremy Woodall; and her great-grandchildren, Kim Lake and Taylor Dooley.

In addition to her parents Mrs. Miller was preceded in death by her husband, Stanley J. Miller, Sr. in 1994; her brothers, Happy Thompson and James Thompson; and her sisters, Mary Yates, Judy Crites, Helen Lentz and Ruby Thompson.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, February 6, 2014 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Bob Lake, Asher Miller, Frank Lake, Stanley Miller, Ernest Miller, John Lake, Jr. and Adam Dooley.
