Chester William Lewis

A funeral service will be conducted on Thursday, May 16, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Turner-Robertshaw Funeral Home with Reverend Anthony Pestilli officiating. Burial will follow in Macedonia Church Cemetery with military honors.

Mr. Lewis was born in Toledo, Ohio on August 6, 1946. He was a welder for Holman Boiler and American Boiler. An avid hunter he has trophies from hunts in New York, Tennessee, Virginia and Alaska. Mr. Lewis also enjoyed camping and was a member of Moose Lodge #829 in Front Royal.

Mr. Lewis is survived by his wife of nearly 12 years, Dorothy Lewis; his sons, Keith Spangler of Winchester and David Spangler of Stephen’s City; his brother, Joseph Salazar; his sisters, Aurora Rodriguez and Christine Vogal, all of Ohio; his two grandchildren, Kevin Spangler and Regan Spangler.

Mr. Lewis was preceded in death by his mother, Marcella Marie Gomez Salazar; his brothers, Tony Chagolla and Leo Chagolla; and his sister, Charlotte Petra Betts.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, May 15, 2013 from 7:00 until 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Dennis Rogers, Rob Dakis, Charles Shaffer, Michael Manuel, Jimmy Loveless and Gary Walker.
