Helen Miller Putman

A funeral service will be conducted on Thursday, April 7, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Turner-Robertshaw Funeral Home with Pastor William Shifflett officiating. Burial will follow in Panorama Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 6, 2016 at the funeral home.

Mrs. Putman was born in Clarke County on October 12, 1948, a daughter of the late Edward and Mamie Miller. She worked in the Coning Room at Avtex for 20 years, and later worked as a cashier for Costco. She was a member of the Front Royal Church of God. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She enjoyed her flower garden and spending time with her grandchildren.

Mrs. Putman is survived by her husband, Randolph “Tommy” Putman; her daughter, Jennifer Tusing and husband John of Maurertown; her brother, Charles Miller of Front Royal; her sisters, Mary Sechrist of Paris Mountain, Catherine Tisor of Illinois, Zessie Rutherford of Front Royal, Betty Williams of Reliance, Phyllis Hall of Strasburg and Gladys Grimes of Strasburg; her grandchildren, Brandon Tusing, Krissica Tusing, Brady Haden and wife Sabrina; her great-granddaughter, Isabella Mae Haden and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Putman was preceded in death by her daughter, Misty Dawn Putman in 2015; her brothers, Ernest Miller and Jimmy Miller; her sisters, Iva Thompson and Peggy Embry.

Pallbearers will be Brady Haden, Tony Rutherford, Randy Grimes, Edmund Miller, Allen Fleet, Derrick Williams and Brian Williams.
