Robert Winifred Jackson

A Homegoing Celebration will be conducted on Friday, November 8, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Mt. Vernon Baptist Church, 240 Church St., Front Royal with Reverend Brevetta Jordan officiating.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 until 11:00 a.m. at the church. Burial will follow in Good Hope Cemetery.

Son of Julia Cecile Fitzhugh Jackson and the late Robert Coleman Jackson, Robert was born on September 29, 1949 in Front Royal. Robert was dedicated many years ago at John Wesley United Methodist Church. He also attended Criser High School in Front Royal. He was united in holy matrimony to Marie Foster on March 9, 2013, before their marriage, Marie had been Robert’s faithful companion for many years.

Robert worked for Pittman Tree Company, NPL Gas Company, Cavalier Tree Company and Seven-Eleven.

Robert leaves to cherish his memories: his loving wife Marie; his mother, Julia C. Jackson; two sisters, Aparna (Pam) Jackson and Bettie Cooper, both of Front Royal; two brothers, Herbert Thomas of Winchester and Robert Lee Thomas of Strasburg; his children: Troy Frye and wife Cena of Mauretown; Lashawnya Jackson of Richmond, Lashawnda Roberts of Charles Town, WV; Robert Settle, Richard Foster and Ruffus Foster all of Harrisburg, PA; nineteen grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
