Rosa Lee Snider

A funeral service will be conducted on Thursday, October 9, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at Turner-Robertshaw Funeral Home. Burial will be in Quantico National Cemetery on Friday, October 10, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. The family will receive friends on Thursday, October 9, 2014 from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mrs. Snider was born in Louisa on May 19, 1920, a daughter of the late John Levi and Julia Leah Lee Hartley. She was a dry cleaner operator for many years and was Baptist by faith. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

She is survived by her sons, Robert Snider and wife Peggy of Linden, and James Snider of Hagerstown, MD; her daughter, Evelyn "Kitty" McCann of Lynchburg; her grandchildren, Carl, Bobby, Susan, Joe, Becca, James, Chris, Raymond, Daryl, Kathy and Linda and numerous great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Snider was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard Ford Snider in 1996; her son, George Snider; her brothers, Hobert Hartley and Dayton Hartley; and her sisters, Maude Seale, Pansey Giamond, and Ella Mae Gregory.
