Ada Lee Shields

Ada Lee Shields, 86, of Greeley, passed away April 4, 2015. Ada was born May 16, 1928 in Bellvue, CO to Chester and Muriel (Stillion) Orr. She married Oliver Shields on May 9, 1948 in Fort Collins, CO.

Ada worked in the billing department at St. Luke’s Hospital in Denver and later as a secretary at the Evangelical Free Church in Aurora. She loved and was devoted to her children, grandchildren, siblings, nieces and nephews as well as her church family. She enjoyed traveling, camping, baking cookies, cross stitching, jigsaw and word puzzles.

Ada is preceded in death by her parents and three sisters, Virginia Maxwell, Mary Sautter and Faye Orr.

She is survived by her loving husband, Oliver Shields; three children, Muriel Walker, William (Terry) Shields and Paula Shields; four grandchildren, Jennifer Walker, Sonja (Ken) Balltrip, Michael (Sarah) Shields and Laura (Steve) Andrews; ten great-grandchildren, Cody and Kegan Brubaker, Paige Walker, Kimberly Balltrip, MacKayla and MacKenna Pogue, Alina and Christopher Shields and Charlotte and Cordelia Andrews; and a brother, Howard (Florence) Orr.
