Alice was born in the small town of Seguin, Texas on June 10, 1938. Her father and mother, Sebero and Trinidad Gutierrez, raised five children, teaching them the value of hard work and family. In 1967, Alice married the only man she ever loved, Eines Castañeda, in Anson, Texas. The Family moved to Loveland in 1978. They had celebrated 49 years together when Eines passed away in 2016.
Alice was a woman of great faith who loved the Lord. She was a strong prayer warrior, always asking the Lord to bless and protect her family and all those she knew. She was kind hearted and generous. Alice loved to cook and was very well known for her tamales.
Her daughters were her heart, and her family her world. As she had always taken care of them. When the time came for Alice to enter the Gates of Heaven, she was surrounded by love and family. Though her passing brings great heartache to us all, there is comfort in knowing we will see her again.
Alice’s legacy of love and family will carry on in the hearts and memories of every life she touched. She is survived by her children, Esther Quiñonez (Albert), Patricia Flores (Eddie), and Olivia Castañeda; grandchildren, Desiree Malizia (Travis), Isabella Quiñonez, Anthony Castañeda, Angelina Sáenz, Mario Flores, and Alysha Flores; great-grandchildren, Brinlie, Beckham, Brylie, and by her sister, Cilvia Ramirez (Tom), and brother, John Gutierrez (Marla). Alice is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and other extended family. She was greeted in Heaven by her husband Eines, her mother and father, sister, Margaret Herrera, brother, Alex Gutierrez and by her, niece Michelle Gonzales.
Thanks to the wonderful staff from Pathways Hospice for their loving care.
