

Brittany Ashley Schoonover, age 26, passed away on January 12, 2018. She is survived by her parents, Jeff and Virginia (Ashley) Schoonover and her sister, Kristina. Her Uncles and Aunts: Steve & Karen, Ann & Marty, Ross & Andi, Charlie & Nancy, godparents Don & Lori Whitson, numerous cousins, close friends Jane & Jim Davis, Mark Edwards, Larry Howell, Dr. John L. & Teresa Bender & Kevin Long.
Brittany was born in Fort Collins, on July 29, 1991. When Brittany was 13, the Schoonover's moved to Windsor where Brittany grew up and attended high school, played softball, swam and began to cultivate her passion for welding. Following high school, Brittany pursued her passion in welding, becoming certified in gas tungsten arc (TIG) welding, gas metal arc (MIG) welding, creative welding, stick welding, pipe welding, allied cutting process, blacksmithing, layout and fabrication, welding fundamentals, shielded metal arc and oxyacetylene welding.
Brittany was known for her caring spirit and the way she loved life and all those in hers. Brittany’s creativity was lived out daily through her welds. Brittany loved working with animals, specifically the Northern Colorado AKC Hunt Test and Field Trial labrador retrievers and community. She preferred to spend her free time in the metal shop welding, outside helping Mark Edwards train dogs, or watching movies with her family. Brittany has a huge heart which was witnessed everyday, she was loved by many and will be greatly missed. Brittany’s service will be held at Allnutt Funeral Home, 650 W. Drake Rd. Fort Collins, CO 80526 on Thursday, January 18, 2018 at 1:00 pm, followed by a graveside service at Resthaven, 8426 S. Highway 287, Fort Collins, CO 80525. Plants are preferred over flowers.
