Clyde “Razz” Jewert passed away on July 29, 2015 from complications of COPD. He was born on October 2, 1934 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to Lynn and Marie Jewert. Razz spent time in the Air Force and worked odd jobs. He met and married the love of his life, Donna “Bunny”. Razz adopted Rick and in September, 1959. The family packed up and moved to Colorado and never looked back. Fort Collins became their home. Razz wanted to be a fireman and in pursuing that career became an Assistant Fire Chief in Fort Collins. He battled some of the largest fires in downtown Fort Collins history in the late 60’s and 70’s. He had the pleasure of training the first women on the force.
Razz was a God fearing man, a great son, husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend. He was always willing to work extra shifts so that young fathers could be home with their children on the holidays. He many years dressed up as Santa Claus and went around to families homes entertaining and surprising kids of all ages. He had the nickname Razz because he would tell a joke and no one knew if he was pulling their leg or not.
He leaves behind his wife Bunny, son Rick, daughter-in-law Janette, brother Dennis and wife Randie; grandchildren Jason and wife Candy; daughter Kaylee, and Jenilee Russell and her husband John and children Harper and Hudson.
Rest in peace until we meet again. Family and friends may view the online obituary and sign the guestbook at www.resthavencolorado.com.
