

He enlisted in the Army in 1945 and served in Korea in a Criminal Investigations Unit.
Dallas married Pauline (Polly) Benton on January 16, 1946. Upon Dallas’ discharge, he and Polly farmed in Iowa until 1960 when they moved to Greeley. In 1963 they moved to Loveland with their five children. In 1982 they moved to Dillon and managed condominiums until 1990 when they retired and moved back to Loveland.
Dallas is survived by his wife, Polly and children Dennis (Deena) of Loveland, Darwin (Mel) of Pueblo, Ronald (Vicky) of Westminster and Richard (Kimberly) of Wilton, CA. He was preceded in death by their daughter Gloria and her husband Robert Krebs. Dallas is also survived by his 15 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren and 12 great-great-grandchildren.
Dallas enjoyed the Hansen family gatherings and the many card games throughout the years. He also enjoyed fishing, the mountains of Colorado and was a fan of the Rockies and the Broncos.
Dallas was known for his special sense of humor and infectious laugh. He was known for motoring around Loveland on his scooter making stops to pick up lunch at the drive-thru lanes at Pizza Ranch and Wendy’s.
Dallas and Polly were members of the Zion Lutheran Church. The Hansen family would like to give a special thanks to North Shore Hospice Unit and all the caregivers who took such wonderful care of Dallas. They would also like to thank the Pastors and church members of Zion Lutheran for their prayers and support.
In lieu of flowers the family wishes donations to be made in his name to Zion Lutheran Church or Pathways Hospice.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, June 16, 2017 at Zion Lutheran Church, 815 E 16th Street, Loveland, Co. at 11:30 am. Friends and family may view the online obituary and sign the guest book at www.resthavencolorado.com.
