Having accepted Jesus Christ as his Savior at an early age, he was a faithful believer throughout this life and looked forward to being with Him forever.
Dave was born in Paisley, a village in southwest Pennsylvania on March 2, 1942 and graduated from Carmichaels High School. He was employed by United Airlines for 38 years and worked at Friendship Airport in Baltimore, MD, Pittsburgh International Airport and Denver International Airport.
He was preceded in death by his father, Harry Hess, Jr.; and his mother, Dorothy (Griffith). He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Georgiana (Bertovich); three sons, Christopher Michael and his wife, Pamela (Reel), David Eric and his wife, Susan (Williamson) and Timothy Neal and his wife, Debra(Messer)---also by eight grandchildren and three great-granddaughters.
His brothers, Nelson and Gerald, both of Ohio, also survive him.
