Born October 11, 1946 in Louisville, Kentucky to Grace Vienna Settle and Clarence Newton Tucker, Dave lived in both Kentucky and Virginia in his youth, playing football in high school; as a young man, he worked as a volunteer firefighter and assisted with snow rescues. He was very proud of his service in the Navy as a S.I.N.S (Submarine Internal Navigation System) Technician from 1967-1973, during which time he met and married the love of his life, Patricia, in 1970; after his service, they moved to Fort Collins where they lived the rest of their lives together.
Dave retired from Kodak Colorado Division after 34 years as an Electronic Technician. He loved fly-fishing, was an avid woodworker, enjoyed camping and outdoor cooking, played basketball and softball through his forties, and even enjoyed playing video games with his youngest daughter in his sixties. In his later years, he found a love for small wood crafts and rock painting, a hobby which he loved sharing with friends and family.
Dave was proceeded in passing by his parents, three brothers (Rex, Jerry, and Elbert), one sister (Betty Kay), and his loving wife (Patricia). He is survived by two daughters (Julie and Cara), a grandson (Robert), and many life-long friends he cherished as family.
A life celebration for both David and Patricia together (per their wishes) will be announced for a future date.
