

Dee was born on May 17, 1931 to Kathryn Margaret [Stiles] and Robert Clyde Amos in McClave, CO. After graduating from McClave High School in 1950, she moved to Denver, CO to work as a telephone keyboard operator at Mountain State Telephone Company.
In 1964, she met Andrew ‘Steve’ Stephenson, a retired Senior Master Sergeant of the US Air Force, and married on April 11, 1964. They went on to have two children, Gregory Amos “Greg” and Kathryn Lynn “Katlynn”.
The family moved to Bennett, CO in 1971 where Steve built a beautiful home for Dee and the kids before passing away from cancer in 1979. Dee kept the farm and worked as a teacher’s aide for Bennett Middle School and remained active in the local Lions Club. After retiring in 1986, she moved to Fort Collins, CO to be near her parents and brother. She then spent several years in California, living near Greg and his family, and ultimately residing in Columbus, OH near Katlynn.
Dolores is preceded in death by her father Robert Clyde Amos, mother Kathryn Margaret [Stiles] Amos, brother Robert Dwight Amos, sister-in-law Mary Elizabeth [Harbison] Amos; her husband Andrew ‘Steve’ Kermit Stephenson, and by her son, Gregory Amos Stephenson.
She is survived by her daughter Kathryn Lynn Henry, son-in-law William Alvin Henry, III, grandsons Trey William Henry, Braeden Winfield Henry, and Ryan Andrew Stephenson, granddaughter Alexandra Naomi Stephenson; her niece Mildred Ann [Amos] Smelker, her husband Curtis Smelker, great nieces Elizabeth Marie Smelker and Margaret Elaine Smelker; daughter-in-law Miriam Elise [Guthals] Stephenson, along with many friends and loved ones.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Allnutt Funeral Service - Drake Road Chapel in Ft Collins, CO on Friday, September 29th at 9:30am, followed by a Graveside Committal at Fort Logan National Cemetery at 1:00pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are encouraged to the American Heart Association. Should you wish to send flowers, the family recommends Rowe's Flowers in Loveland, Colorado.
