

He moved to the United States with his father and sister in 1941, and lived with relatives in Springfield and Millburn, New Jersey, until his mother was able to leave France, and join her family. He attended schools in Millburn, finishing his education at the Newark Vocational School.
Dominick joined the New Jersey National Guard 104th Armored Cavalry Division, where he served for 12 years before being honorably discharged with a rank of Staff Sergeant R6.
In 1957, he married Mary Lou Delia, and moved to Berkeley Heights, New Jersey, where they raised their family. While in Berkeley Heights, he was employed at Hewlett Packard in the purchasing department. Later he joined Arrow Electronics as a sales representative of electronic components. He was a member of the Church of the Little Flower for 48 years. He sang in the choir and later served on the parish council and was an usher at various times. He was also a member of the Mount Carmel Society and the Italian American Club of Union County.
Dom and Mary Lou moved to Loveland in 2005, to continue their retirement and enjoy the area they had visited so often. He immediately joined the Loveland Fishing Club and became involved with volunteer work, serving as a court bailiff, and Loveland Senior Police Volunteer.
Dom was a member of Saint John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Loveland and served as an usher. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council 3434, and a Fourth Degree Knight in the Big Thompson Council 2615.
In his spare time, he enjoyed gardening, and more importantly, fishing. He could spend hours with friends and just fish, never uttering a word!
When time allowed, Dom enjoyed going back to New Jersey to visit with friends and family.
Dom is preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Maria (Angeline) Scarillo, and grandparents. He is survived by Mary Lou (Delia) Scarillo, his wife of 56 years; a sister, Lucienne Episcopo of Melbourne, Florida; his children, Rosemarie “Ro” Jones and Donna Jean (Richard) Villarba of Loveland; and Thomas Scarillo of Studio City, California; his grandchildren, Carly (John) Meyers; Jennifer (Alan) Moore; Jacklyn Goldstein; and DJ Villarba; a great-granddaughter, Abby Meyers; and an expected great-grandson due in March.
Visitation will be 3:00-7:00 p.m. Friday at Resthaven Funeral Home, 8426 S Hwy 287, Fort Collins, followed by a 7:00 p.m. Rosary. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Saint John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 1730 W. 12th Street in Loveland at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, January 11, 2014. Entombment Resthaven Memory Gardens. A reception will be held at the Knights of Columbus Hall following the entombment.
