

Eleanor May Berg, a devoted mother, cherished grandmother, and beloved member of the community, passed peacefully on March 16, 2026, at the age of 95, shortly after a fall on her birthday. Born in Ferndale, Washington, on March 11, 1931, Eleanor's life was a testament to love, service, and faith.
Eleanor was the treasured daughter of Harold and Signe Erickson. She grew up as the oldest of 10 children on a dairy farm in a home filled with love and values that she carried throughout her life. Her early years in Ferndale laid the foundation for a lifetime of grace and dedication. Eleanor graduated from Ferndale High School.
In 1950, Eleanor married the love of her life, Ralph Richard Berg. Their union was a remarkable journey that spanned 69 beautiful years until Ralph's passing. Together, they raised four children: Donald Sheldon, Gregory Allen, Lois Jean, and their late son, David Wayne Berg. Eleanor's nurturing spirit and unwavering support were the cornerstones of her family.
Eleanor was a steadfast pillar of support to her husband during his 30-year service in the Air Force and his subsequent careers as a pastor and a postman. Her strength and commitment were evident in every aspect of her life, from her roles as a wife and mother to her service in the community.
A woman of many talents and interests, Eleanor was an avid cook, gardener, painter, seamstress and pursued school to become an LPN. She found joy in embroidery and was known to engage in word games with enthusiasm and skill. Her home was always filled with warmth, creativity, and the aroma of delicious meals, reflecting her love for excellence in all she undertook.
Eleanor was a devoted member of the Fort Collins Bible Church, where her faith flourished and inspired many. She was a prayer warrior, embodying a selfless and caring spirit that touched everyone around her. Her faith was unwavering, and she lived by Proverbs 3:5-6, trusting in the Lord with all her heart.
Eleanor's legacy is carried on by her surviving children, Donald, Gregory, and Lois; her seven grandchildren, Heather Leanne, Kendra Nicole, Brian Alexander, Erica Lianne, Danielle Nicole, Michael John, and Ryan James; and her 14 great-grandchildren, Jonathan, Robert, Serenity, Keynan, Nicolas, Chase, Jesse, Matthew, Grace, Josiah, Granger, Ensley, Preston, and Urijah. She was predeceased by her husband, Ralph, her son David, and her granddaughter, Robin Renee.
Eleanor's life was a beautiful tapestry woven with love, grace, and service. Her family finds comfort in the memories and lessons she imparted and in the promise of eternal peace. Her spirit will continue to guide and inspire all who knew her.
