Gavin Noble Adams-Hageman entered into the presence of His Savior on August 29th in Fort Collins, Colorado. Gavin is survived by his mother, Lynn Hageman, grandparents Kathy, Chuck, Linda, his Poppa John, as well as a multitude of friends at school and clubs, a loving church family at Discovery Fellowship, a very large family of aunts, uncles, and cousins, best friend, Zowen, beloved family physician, Dr. J. David Cranor, and dearly loved dog, Gage.
Gavin was born on July 22, 1999 in San Jose, California. In 2009, he and his mother, Lynn, moved to Fort Collins. In 2011 Gavin asked Jesus into his heart and was baptized, which was life-changing. A new joy overtook him. No longer was he a shy kid with anxiety. Gavin’s strong faith and confidence remained constant up until the day of his passing.
Some of Gavin's best years were spent at Rocky Mountain High School (RMHS). Gavin especially enjoyed Sci-Fi Club; a club he founded and led for three consecutive years. Gavin graduated from RMHS in 2017 with not only his high school diploma, but with his Front Range Community College Certificate of Completion from the Animal Tech and Research Program. Upon completion of his internship at Countryside Animal Hospital, he was hired by Countryside for the summer as an assistant.
In the fall Gavin resumed studies at Front Range Community College (FRCC). While at FRCC, Gavin was a member of the Alpha Omega Christian Club, and recently was selected by the National Society of Leadership and Success, Sigma Alpha Pi, Front Range Community College Chapter, for his leadership potential and achievements.
Gavin had an especially fun summer, enjoying the time with friends and family. Highlights were a Monday night painting club, Dungeons and Dragons, and a week-long, camping-fishing trip he took with his mother. They had such an amazing time that Gavin was eager to go again, and upon returning invited his best friend, Zowen, to join them on the next trip.
Gavin’s hobbies included video/film making, Comic Cons, painting miniatures, tinkering in his workshop with all his power tools, Science Fiction anything (movies, comics, books), photography, and writing. He loved playing games of all kinds - including Dungeons and Dragons (his favorite), board games, and video games.
Gavin was well-known for his amazing talent with prop making and costume design, and he was sought out by others with offers to pay him for custom designs. As his expertise grew, he decided to change his major to theater, and was excited with his plan to pursue a career in theater production and film prop design.
Gavin was a friend to many and will be remembered for his kindness, Christian faith, witty sense of humor, remarkable ability to make others laugh, magnetic personality, open and accepting attitude of others and genuine passion for creating and building.
Over the past few days, the many of those whose lives Gavin touched have retold countless memories of Gavin’s selfless kind acts, and accounts of Gavin going out of his way to include others and make them feel welcome, which has meant a great deal to Gavin's family.
High school and college friends of Gavin are invited to meet in the parking lot of Allnutt Funeral home for a Candlelight Vigil on Friday, September 7 at 9:00 pm. Those wishing to join other friends and family members are invited to attend a Celebration of Life for him on September 8, 2018 at 11:00 a.m., Discovery Fellowship Church, 6630 Brittany Dr., Fort Collins, Colorado. There will be a graveside ceremony immediately after at Resthaven Memorial Gardens, 8426 South Highway 287, Fort Collins, Colorado, followed by a reception at the church.
