

Dean Bryant passed away June 3, 2017 at McKee Medical Center at the age of 87 with his family by his side. He was born July 28, 1929 on a farm in King City, Mo. He was the son of Helen and Raymond Bryant. Dean had two brothers, William Ray Bryant and Billy Ray Bryant, and sister, Beverly Stewart. Dean married Ida Rose Homan on May 7, 1950 in Albany Mo. Dean graduated high school at King City High School. After he graduated he lived in Denver, Co. working for United Airlines and then driving a truck for a soda company. In 1949 he moved back to King City and started farming, he farmed until 1970 when he moved his family to Loveland, Co. Dean bought a bulk oil company and gas station where he worked until he retired in 1981. Dean was a snowbird in Arizona for 30 years, which he truly loved to be in Arizona in the winter time. Dean loved to go camping and traveling all over the states and even ventured to Australia. Dean loved anything to do with planes and car racing. But his true love was farming. Dean even won the award for outstanding Young Farmer for the state of Missouri. Dean served on the Federal Land Bank board of directors and spent four years on the National Federal Bank board of directors. Dean was preceded in death by his parents and his two brothers. Dean is survived by his wife Ida, his four sons, Jerry Bryant, wife Carmen, Rod Bryant, wife Suzette, Mick Bryant, wife Robyn, Greg Bryant and his wife Jenny. Dean has 8 grandkids and 5 great-grandkids with 2 more on the way and his sister Beverly Stewart.
A celebration of Life will be held on Friday, June 9th at 11:00 am at Resthaven Funeral Home. Memorial contributions can be made to Tri County Museum in King City, Mo (in care of Resthaven) where his grandfather has things displayed.
