

He was preceded in death by his parents, John “Jack” and Mildred “Millie” Damge, his daughter Crystal Dawn, and his brother Rick and his wife, Sue. He is survived by his wife, Jeri Damge; children Laura Stoewer (Ron Kraft), Jenny, aka “ Jennybenny “ (Kirk) Evans, Walker (Sally) Damge, Katy, aka Katydid (Matt) Johnson; step-children Jim Caskey, and Scott Caskey, ten grandchildren Emerald, Olivia, Jackie, Grace, Abby, Lucas, Larson, Austin, Sammie, Sasha, one soon-to-be great-grandchild, Wyatt. He is also survived by his brothers Terry (Dot) Damge and John Damge, sister Jackie (James) Wright, and several nephews and a niece.
He was born on May 21, 1951, in Waterloo, IA. Gerry touched so many lives and made friends with strangers wherever he went. He began his sheet metal experience at Johnson Sheet Metal and worked many years in many roles in the HVAC & R industry.
He loved his family, dogs, a good joke, and baseball. He was a Boy Scout leader and a coach. As his family is writing this, we are laughing so much, remembering what an amazing man he was. He was so much more than we could ever write about here, but everyone who knew him knows this and will remember him by telling a story.
Memorial service will be on Friday, November 11, 2022 at 1pm at the First United Methodist Church, 1005 Stover St, Fort Collins, CO.
