

Gordon Franklin Lynch Jr., aka Gordy or Swede, passed away Friday, April 1, 2022. He was 80. Born in Brandsville, Missouri to Gordon Franklins Lynch Sr. and Mary E. Wilson, he spent his early years in Ft. Collins, graduating from Ft. Collins High School in 1960. He proudly served in the United States Navy aboard the USS Enterprise as an aircraft mechanic where he earned a National Defense Service Medal during his 8 years of service.
Gordon retired from the United States Post Office of Ft. Collins in 2013. He took pride in his job and was proud to serve his customers of Country Club Road. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting and fishing. He fished in Alaska for 14 years in a row and never missed an annual hunting trip.
Gordon loved talking to people and making them laugh. He is survived by his loving partner Monica Schaeffer, daughter Karen Allred (Darrin), brother Howard Lynch and sister Diane Serrani.
A visitation for family and friends will be held from 1:00 — 2:30 pm, on Friday, April 8, 2022 at the Allnutt Drake Chapel, 650 W. Drake Road, Fort Collins. Gordon will be buried on Tuesday, April 12, 2022 at 11:00 am. at the Cheyenne National Cemetery, Cheyenne, Wyoming.
