Jean Hibbs

Jean Hibbs, loving wife, mother, and grandmother passed away on April 20, 2008 following a brief illness at the age of 81 in Loveland, Colorado.Jean was born February 24, 1927 to Clarence and Florence Kilburn in Elmhurst, Illinois. She grew up and attended schools in Aurora, Illinois. Jean married Dale Hibbs on June 17, 1950 in Silvis, Illinois. While Dale was in the USAF they were stationed in Germany and traveled throughout Europe and later lived in IL, CO, and Washington, DC, before making their home in Fort Collins, CO for many years.Jean worked in the medical insurance business most of her life and retired as the Insurance Administrator for CSU Student Health Center in 1980. They retired to Florence, AZ, where they managed and worked at Caliente and RV parks and campgrounds in CA and WY. In 1992, they returned to the mountains of CO to make their home.Throughout her life she enjoyed cooking, traveling, camping, sewing, and reading. The true light of her life was her family and she cherished being a grandmother. She will be remembered for her kind and generous heart and loving spirit. She was a member of the Chapel of the Interlude in Drake, CO.She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Dale, daughter Laurie Tucker and husband James of Cheyenne, WY, granddaughter Jennell Acklin and great granddaughters Lauren and Kailey Acklin of Hillsdale, WY. Brother in law, Dean Ulrich of St. Charles, IL, two nephews, one great niece, one aunt, and several cousins.She was preceded in death by her son, Randy Lee Hibbs, her parents, brother and sister.Visitation will be held 9:00 â?? 10:00 a.m. Thursday at Resthaven Funeral Home, with Funeral Services to follow at 10:00 a.m. Interment Resthaven Memory Gardens.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, the National Kidney Foundation, or the charity of the donator's choice in care of Resthaven Funeral Home, 8426 S Hwy 287, Fort Collins, CO 80525.
