Jean Loa Walker was born on August 19th, 1929 in Cheyenne, Wyoming to John W. and Elsie (Voss) Trone. She attended elementary school in Cheyenne, before relocating with her family to Fort Collins, Colorado, where she completed high school. Jean went on to attend Purdue University and worked as a secretary.
On October 29, 1951, she married Robert E. Walker in Munich, Germany, and the couple resided in Morocco for three years, before eventually settling in Fort Collins in 1969. Following Robert's death in 1969, Jean enjoyed many years traveling abroad with friends, her daughter Melia and her grandchildren, and going on numerous historic trips and adventures through Wyoming and Colorado- times her daughter and grandchildren will never forget! Jean was a fun and special grandma. She also enjoyed traveling with her companion, Jerry Frydendall.
Jean leaves behind a daughter, Melia (Scott) Walkowicz, as well as three grandchildren, Jessica (Chris) James, Jacob (Taylor) Walkowicz, and Matthew Walkowicz, and 8 great grandchildren.
We will miss her greatly, but find comfort that she has gone on to be with the Lord and Jesus Christ, her Savior.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her memory to the charity of your choice. There will be a private service for family, under the care of Allnutt's Drake Road Chapel.
