Joan Gertrude Williams

Joan was born on May 13, 1934, to Gertrude “Sis” and Joseph Edward Yahna on a farm outside of Larimore, ND. While attending school in Larimore, Joan met her future husband, Vance Williams, to whom she had been married for more than 69 years. Together, they raised eight children: Mark (Jane), Kari (Matt) Ball, Jeanne Charlson, Jeff (Lana), Donna (late husband, Coe) Foss, Joe (Kris), Tom (Lynne), and Dan (Janet). They also have numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Over the years, Joan and Vance moved many times until Vance retired and they settled in Ft. Collins, Colorado to be near family. Throughout her life, Joan was a homemaker who enjoyed many activities, however her happiest moments were times spent together with her husband, her children and their families.

Joan is survived by her husband and children, as well as her siblings, Jerry (Karen) Yahna, Mike Yahna, Marty (Joanie) Yahna, and Kathy Feyk, along with many nieces, nephews, and extended family. Joan was preceded in death by two brothers, a sister, two grandchildren and a son in law.

A funeral mass will take place on Friday, June 28, 2024, at 10:00am at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish in Ft. Collins; followed by a private interment for family only at Resthaven Cemetery.
