
Lenora Grace Taylor passed away on May 15, 2012 in Loveland, Colorado. Lenora was born on September 17, 1926 in Gunnison, Colorado to Walter and Dora Tester. The family, including her brothers, Leon, Leonard and Roy and a sister, Dorothy, later moved to Loveland. After graduating from Loveland High School in 1946, she moved to Denver. She worked as a nurse’s aide at Saint Luke’s Hospital and several nursing homes. She was also the activities director at Mile High Nursing Home in Lakewood, Colorado.
She married Fred Taylor on September 12, 1954. They had two daughters, Christine Corwin (Cliff) and Robin Kathleen Williams. She was also step-mom to Jo Ann Turner (Tommy), Jack Taylor (Janet) and Sharon Raybon.
Lenora enjoyed gardening, sewing, and a variety of arts and crafts. She took up painting a few years ago. She enjoyed making quilts for the organization, “Warm Hearts, Warm Babies”.
She was a life-long member of the Nazarene Church. While she was able, she volunteered at the church and was part of the Prime Time Senior Adult Group.
Lenora was preceded in death by Fred, her husband of 49 years; a brother, Roy Tester; and her sister, Dorothy Knapp. She is survived by her children, 15 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren, several great-great grandchildren and two brothers, Leon and Leonard Tester.
Visitation will be held 6-8 pm Friday at Allnutt Funeral Service, 2100 N Lincoln Avenue, Loveland. Funeral services will be held 9:30 a.m. Saturday, May 19th at the Loveland Church of the Nazarene. Interment Loveland Burial Park. Memorial contributions can be made to the Loveland Church of the Nazarene in care of Resthaven Funeral Home, 8426 S Hwy 287, Fort Collins, CO 80525.
