Louise Rosella Frager

Louise was born in Missoula, MT, on July 21, 1946. She married Sholom Frager on January 11, 1969.

Louise and Sholom moved to Fort Collins in 1976 where they remained and became committed members in the community. Louise was a beloved and active Girl Scout leader, volunteered for the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, and brought joy to many families through her in-home day care and work at The Farm at Lee Martinez Park. She was cheerful and welcoming to all she met and was always eager to share a drink and good cheer with a friend. If someone wasn’t a friend yet, they soon would be. Every holiday, birthday, or special event shared with Louise was celebrated to the fullest. When not with friends, Louise found pleasure writing stories, reading, attending writing workshops and book conventions, and researching family history. She had an adventurous streak and appreciated travel and exploring new places. At the age of 66 she traveled to Ireland to follow the tour of one of her favorite Irish music bands, the Elders, as a groupie. Louise loved being outside and knew how to take time to stop and smell the flowers. She enjoyed hiking, camping, and being with nature. She was a faithful Christian, donated generously to various organizations she held dear to her heart, and cared greatly for people and the environment. Louise was devoted to her family and was a strong and caring role model to her children and all who she welcomed into her heart.

Louise is survived by her sister, Francine Hutchinson; her children, Shoshannah, Tam, Lincoln, Becca, Caleb; her daughter-in-law, Sevelina; her grandchildren, Bella and Kaytlin; and her cat, Saber.

Louise was preceded in death by her husband, Sholom Frager and parents, Phyllis and Francis Bass.

Visitation will be held Thursday, August 23, 2018 from 6 – 8 pm Allnutt Drake Chapel, Fort Collins.

Funeral service will be held at 9:30 am on Friday, August 24, 2018 at Allnutt Drake Chapel with burial immediately following at Grandview Cemetery. A reception will follow the burial from 12:00 to 2:00 pm at the Allnutt Drake Reception Center, 650 W. Drake Road, Fort Collins, CO.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project or the National Wildlife Federation, in care of Allnutt Drake Chapel, 650 W. Drake Road, Fort Collins, CO. 80526.
