

Meredith Jane Kent, 76, of Fort Collins peacefully went home Friday, July 18, 2025. Meredith was born in Denver and was the adopted daughter of the late Earl and Ruth Hayes. Meredith graduated from Fort Collins High School in 1967 and later attended NJC in Sterling, Colorado.
Meredith worked in Grocery where she met her first husband, Tom Sommers. She had very fond memories of Hainstadt, Germany and travels throughout Europe while Tom was stationed there. Meredith also worked in banking and customer service.
Meredith was a dedicated member of Christ Our Hope Anglican Church, where she often taught Sunday School. She was a past member of The Order of the Daughters of the Holy Cross and was involved with Operation Christmas Child for many years.
Surviving are her sister Luann Boyajian (Mark) and niece Tannis of MA; cousin David Armstrong of CO; children Trevor Sommers (Caralee), Tara Sommers (Eric), Brandon Sommers (Maimie); and seven grandchildren, Shannon, Scott, Charlee, Trapper, Aubree, Sawyer and Avaree, who knew her as Mimmy.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her son Scott, first husband Tom Sommers and second husband Ron Kent.
Meredith loved her family and friends, her church, the cabin, trips to the zoo and small children - who would always bring a smile to her face.
A Memorial Service for Meredith will be held at 10AM on Saturday, August 16th at Christ Our Hope Anglican Church in Fort Collins.
